My name is Michael Piehl, founder of Piehl Pictures. I am a freelance cinematographer and photographer based in the greater Los Angeles area. I specialize in directing photography for short films, advertisements, and music videos with the goal of inspiring viewers to commit to action.

I have been operating as a freelance filmmaker for about five years and accumulated over $20k of personal equipment since then. I have experience with a multitude of cameras including RED and ARRI Alexas. My primary personal camera is the RED DSMC2 Dragon-X.
